Nuala Lam is a bilingual freelance journalist with a focus on civil society, justice, and identity in China. She speaks, reads and writes Mandarin Chinese and forms her analysis of contemporary China through both English and Chinese language media. Catalina Lobo-Guerrero is a freelance journalist and anthropologist currently living in Barcelona, Spain. For the past decade she has been working as an investigative journalist and correspondent in Bogotá, Colombia and Caracas, Venezuela where has written about politics, corruption, the armed conflict and violence. Her work has been published by The New York Times, The Guardian, El País and other smaller and independent media outlets in Latin America.

Dr. Sarphan Uzunoğlu is an Associate Professor in UiT Arctic University of Norway Language and Culture Department. He was previously a senior lecturer at Kadir Has University (Istanbul) across New Media, Public Relations and Information Departments. Tanya Pampalone is the managing editor of the Global Investigative Journalism Network, a non-profit based in Washington, D.C. Chhavi Sachdev runs Sonologue and is India's second most experienced podcaster, having started putting out podcasts on her own and for clients like the Blue Frog in 2008... long before Serial, leading her mother to tell other people "I don't know what she does. Will Kherbek is the writer of the novels Ecology of Secrets (2013) and ULTRALIFE (2016), both published by Arcadia Missa. His Ph.D. was granted by the University of London in 2014. In 2018, the poetry collections 26 Ideologies for Aspiring Ideologists (If a Leaf Falls Press) and Everyday Luxuries (Arcadia Missa) were published. Kherbek is also the writer of the essay "Technofeudalism and the Tragedy of the Commons" (2016) which appeared in the debut issue of Doggerland's journal. The essay considers the role of information in the writing of the Nobel Prize winning economist, Elinor Ostrom, in relation to the concept of the "tragedy of the commons" as formulated by Garrett Hardin. He has written about high frequency trading and finance for the award-winning German language publication, BLOCK, and has consulted and appeared at events with the conveners of the Alternative School of Economics and Rabbits Road Institute in London. His art journalism has appeared widely in publications including Flash Art, Spike Magazine, MAP Magazine, Berlin Art Link, Rhizome.org, and others.

Associate Professor of Economics at George Mason University and currently a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford. Mpindi Abaas is the CEO and Founder of the Media Challenge Initiative (MCI), a youth driven non-profit building the next generation of journalists. Under MCI, Mpindi opened a Media Academy, with a TV and Radio studio accelerator space for training journalism students who don’t have access to practical facilities in their universities. He also founded the first ever journalism fellowship program; an aggressive multimedia journalism training program awarded to the best 25 students from the Inter-University Media Challenge.He is passionate about solutions and impact journalism that bring hope to the world. Mpindi is a 2017 Young Emerging Leaders Program Fellow, a 2018 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur and was recently selected among 200 African young leaders to join the the inaugural 2018 Obama Foundation Leaders-Africa Program.

Born in the south of Mexico, she was raised in rebel Zapatista autonomous municipalities to later settle down in San Cristobal de las Casas where she cofounded ''La Casa de las Flores'', a non-profit dedicated to educate, feed and care for the marginalized children living on extreme poverty in the streets of her city. After graduating from Nursing school she enrolled in Biotechnology and Astrophysics.

Erdem Arda Güneş is an Istanbul based political analyst. After graduating from University of Ankara's Political Sciences Faculty, International Relations department he started working as a politics/diplomacy reporter for Hürriyet Daily News. "Of goats and poisoned oranges" has been extremely well received in Kenya and beyond. It tells the story of a Kenyan middle aged power couple and their complicated marriage. The novel explores issues of greed, revenge, betrayal and murder. It runs from the 1960s to 2013. It has been described as “Wicked, funny, poignant, wacky, human, a big ball of fun and danger”, “A unique and captivating book”, “Fun and intriguing”, “Impossible to put down once you start reading.”

She recently moved to Dakar, Senegal from Kenya to work on her second novel. She also works at as the Africa Communication Manager at a leading global strategy consulting firm.

Emran Feroz is an Afghan-Austrian journalist currently based in Stuttgart, Germany.
