Since the beginning of the war in Syria, hospitals have become a target of airstrikes. Recently, this happened again and it seems that nobody takes really notice, or simply does not care.
According to Syrian doctors, five hospitals had been hit over the past week in Idlib and Hama. The airstrikes had been conducted by the Russian military and the Assad regime.
“It is demonstrably evident that hospitals are not safe from bombings in Idlib at the moment, and this is outrageous,” said Brice de le Vingne, the director of operations at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Regularly, human rights groups accused the international community of ignoring attacks on medical facilities in Syria.
Meanwhile, local doctors and aid workers continue to be desperate.
“You are partners in our killing with your silence and your failure to save innocent civilians,” one local doctor said.
