If You Want Syrian Refugees To Return, Stop Normalizing The Assad Regime

Many people, a lot of whom are not just right-winged politicians, want Syrian refugees to return to their war-torn home country. However, it seems that they are not aware of the current situation in Syria.

In short, it's still: "Assad or we burn the country", as supporters of the dictator and his brutal regime love to say.

The so-called international community has not done much to stop Bashar al Assad from murdering hundreds of thousands of Syrians.

Additionally, more than 440,000 Syrians have been internally displaced while over five million live as refugees in other countries.

Although many other groups and political players are involved on the ground in Syria, it should not be forgotten that Assad's regime and its supporters are still the main reason for most of the mass murder and destruction.

Assad and his allies created most of the country's refugees.

But in this very moment, it seems that the rest of the world does not really care about that. Instead, it normalizes the Assad regime and uses refugees as a dodge ball. And, of course, it also pretends to fight "extremism and terrorism" in the region, while forgetting that most of both are also results of the crimes of the very same regime.
