Armenia Unlocked: Civilnet.am Joins The Podcast Field

Armenia Unlocked is a brand new series from Civilnet.am, one of the largest Armenian news outlets with an English-language section. 

Susanna Petrosyan is the host for the 15-minute roundup, which features an overview of the latest Armenian news and stories alongside a guest or two.

This episode sees the head of the University of Southern California's Armenia Studies program, Salpi Ghazarian, give her take on the upcoming parliamentary elections, as well as the editor-in-chief of Aras Publishing House in Istanbul (whose name I unfortunately cannot spell). Susanna also discusses prisoners of war held by Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well a new work by a Turkish author documenting the experience of Armenian Syrian refugees from the war there.

This series promises to be an interesting listen for anyone interested in Armenian issues—not only news and politics, but also cultural developments such as new books. As a Tbilisi-based journalist who writes on Armenia often, it's likely to be a new fixture in my routine, and it should be helpful to anyone interested in the region.
