A Short Story Of Five Community Energy Projects

Citizens resurrecting their hydro past and generating enough energy to power 300 homes, a local wind turbine that gives £150,000 back to the community every year, a 100% community-owned onshore wind farm that promotes and helps fund sustainable energy projects within schools.

None of the projects described in this article have been orchestrated by a centralised authority. The initiative always came from citizens and the profits remained in the community.

If you’re exhausted by the pointless vortex of negativity and nonsense in the news these days, read this. Lots of hope and inspiration from a relatively short read.
