Afghanistan's media landscape is still dominated by men. However, some women (and men) thought to change this reality by launching the country's very first women-only TV station.
Zan TV (Women TV) was successfully launched last Sunday.
"I am so happy that this TV station has been created for women because there are women in our society who are not aware of their rights," said 20-year-old Khatira Ahmadi, a producer at the station.
Afghanistan still belongs to one of the most difficult places for women in media.
The TV station does not want to focus solely on women's rights, but on many different issues which affect the daily lives of many Afghan women.
