These people are having a hard time, they don't know what to do. So they call Dan Savage.

He is a sex and love expert, whose column “Savage Love” is published in more than 50 newspapers all over the US. His radio shows are made of 15 minutes of monologue about a trending topic or personal experience, and the juicier part of call-in questions. Listeners leave phone messages where they describe the situation they’re in and ask Savage for advice. And he gives it in a funny, unorthodox, honest, but at the same time caring way.
