Sexism And Other Forms Of Discrimination Are Making Women Sick

Anyone who's ever experienced discrimination at work can tell you that it makes you depressed and sick. Flashes of anger interspersed with the feeling of inadequacy and disappointment at the very least are guaranteed—that much I can tell from my own experience.

However, until recently, there has been no scientific data to prove it. This year, a paper has been published that has confirmed what many of us who have experienced discrimination suspected already:

Women who reported experiencing both age and gender discrimination had an average of 9 days of poor mental health in the past 30 days.
