Women Are Key To Building Peace – A Podcast Series

Seeking Peace is a new podcast on the role of women in preventing conflict and achieving peace worldwide.

In Episode 1, Actress Kristen Bell – who is now the first global advocate for the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund – talks about why women are key to lasting peace.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is featured in Episode 2, in which she takes a trip down memory lane, and discuss current threats to American democracy.

Ashley Judd, who besides her activism is known for giving voice to survivors of sexual violence, goes on air about how #MeToo applies from Hollywood to refugee camps. That's episode 3.

The podcast is produced by Georgetown’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS). And as noted in these first few episodes, the premise is that women are not just victims of conflict. They are its leaders, and can often transform situations from violence to peace. A new angle to this conversation that is well worth listening to.
