Emran Feroz is an Afghan-Austrian journalist currently based in Stuttgart, Germany. He is regularly writing from Afghanistan, often focusing on the Middle East, Central Asia, drone warfare, refugee policies and human rights. Emran is writing in both German and English. His work has already appeared in international media outlets such as Al Jazeera, The Intercept, Alternet, The Atlantic or the New York Times and in various German and Austrian news papers and magazines.
Today, I want to recommend you a very new podcast called "The East Is A Podcast" by Sina Rahmani.
Rahmani is Iranian-American. His work focuses on the Middle East, Postcolonialism and Critical Theory. Currently, he is working at UCLA.
I already had the pleasure to talk with Rahmani about my book "Tod per Knopfdruck" and my research on American drone warfare in Afghanistan.
Since Rahmani is a very creative person and also wants to experiment a little bit, his podcast sometimes appears extravagant.
For example, his most recent "guest" is famous Palestinian-American intellectual Edward Said who died in 2003. Rahmani made a mixtape of Said, talking about his friend Eqbal Ahmad who was another giant, and, of course, it is a must-hear.
