"Syria Has Become Our New Testing Ground," Russian Military Says

Recently, Moscow admitted that Russian arms and weaponry are being tried and tested on Syria. More than 500,000 Syrians have been killed since the war in the country started. A lot of them were victims of bombings that were conducted by Russian military.
"More than 200 weapons have been tested during the special operation, which demonstrated high combat effectiveness and proved to be mission-capable," Lieutenant General Igor Makushev, chairman of the Military Science Committee.

Russia's military intervention in Syria began in September 2015, with the air force carrying out punishing airstrikes on opposition forces in support of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

According to different human rights groups, Russian forces are responsible for several war crimes such as targeting homes, hospitals, schools and other vital civilian infrastructure.
