Podcast: 'Half Of Indian Children Are Sexually Abused'

The podcast begins with the audio from Candy Man, a film about a man who was sexually abused in his childhood struggling to be a good father to his son now.

Insia Dariwala, the writer of the film, talks to journalist Lucy Lamble in this podcast. Many statistics mentioned in the podcast give goosebumps; however, every time Dariwala says "half of Indian children are sexually abused", there is something specially gut-wrenching.

Dariwala decided the film should have a male protagonist. She strongly believes child sexual abuse needs to be addressed in a gender neutral space.
