How Libya Is Being Drone Bombed By The US Regularly
Over the last years, US drone strikes in Libya have gone largely unnoticed.
While strikes in other countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan or Yemen are much more known nowadays, many people do not even know that the US military is present in Libya — a country that has faced a lot of chaos and destruction since the Arab Spring and the fall of dictator Muammar al-Gaddafi.
This new investigation by The Intercept and La Republicca reveals that the US military has conducted about 550 drone strikes in Libya since 2011 — more than in Somalia, Yemen, or Pakistan.
The research is based on interviews and analysis of open-source data, and it is a must-read for everyone who wants to know more about the American secret wars that are taking place all over the world and that have already killed thousands of people.
