On Monday night, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. will continue fighting their longest war in history — the war in Afghanistan.
4,000 additional American troops will be deployed in Afghanistan very soon. Besides, Trump pointed out that "nation building" would stop. Instead, the military should focus on "hunting terrorists" (which practically means more escalation).
