Brexit Is The New Sexy?

Britain's painstaking negotiation with the European Union and also itself over what kind of Brexit is to be opted for has seemingly been going on forever. And the international audiences have been watching the unfolding of the Brexit saga as if it were a soap opera.

"A sense of chronic impermanence": this was how the Brexit ordeal was recently described in an analysis compiled by Bloomberg. According to its author, Therese Raphael, the "Brexit issue" may stay with us for much longer than the March 29 deadline – maybe even for a decade.

For the time being, Brexit may be the "New Sexy" for some.

I am neither talking about the Ayes and Nays of the House of Commons, nor the "Order" chants of Speaker of the House John Bercow— everything Brexit seems to be "In", even for fashionistas. Evidence is aired by the very Brexit podcast series of the BBC, "Brexitcast": This podcast series has made its way into Grazia magazine's "Chart of Lust".

In the Brexitcast series, Laura Kuenssberg and Katya Adler join Adam Fleming and Chris Mason for "geeky gossip about Brexit from Westminster and Brussels."

The series' beginning dates back to June 2017 when the Brexit negotiations took off. Will they stay until Brexit is really "no deal" at all; for years to come when the aftershocks of the whole saga malingers?
