Vintage Classroom Projects—Incredible Music Made By Children In Schools

Ask anyone if they want to hear music made by children aged between eight and eleven years old, and they'll very likely say “no, thank you”, not expecting anything grand, complex or even... in tune. However, when I heard this record, I was utterly blown away. It features small primary school groups (recorded from 1959 to 1977) performing avant-garde experiments entirely written and composed by them.

'Classroom Projects' is curated by Jonny Trunk of Trunk Records, who has been releasing bizarre music since 1995. He found three rare school albums produced and arranged by Robert Gittings in 1968, albums which had nearly disappeared. Jonny collected them and selected his favorite songs, bringing us as a result the astonishing album I present you today.
