An anti-immigrant movement called “Defend Europe” sails its ship in the Mediterranean for hunting refugee ships and the NGOs trying to help them out.
The group defines their mission as “to save Europe, to stop illegal immigration, and end the dying on the sea”. They declare that Europe is losing “safety and the way of life and there is a danger that Europeans will become a minority in their own European homelands”. On their website they are fundraising.
They have raised $197,965 so far, from 2,641 contributors.

Another supporter, James Last, can't help but jump in: “Kolarov got it right; pull them back to the African shore and explode the boats, ALL of them. And if you get a chance, pull the trigger on the slave traders.”

Comparing the first five months of this year with the same period last year, UN data reveals that the mortality rate grew from 1.2% to 2.3%. The death rate during all of 2015 was 0.37% – a sixth of its current level.
