Emran Feroz is an Afghan-Austrian journalist currently based in Stuttgart, Germany. He is regularly writing from Afghanistan, often focusing on the Middle East, Central Asia, drone warfare, refugee policies and human rights. Emran is writing in both German and English. His work has already appeared in international media outlets such as Al Jazeera, The Intercept, Alternet, The Atlantic or the New York Times and in various German and Austrian news papers and magazines.
I'm not really a fan of British-Pakistani writer Tariq Ali, especially because of his attitude towards the war in Syria and his apologist attitude towards the Assad regime.
Ali used to be a leading figure of the political left, and TeleSUR, Venezuela's state TV, even gave him his own show.
But from time to time, "The World Today with Tariq Ali" is worth watching, mainly because of Ali's guests.
This is also the case here where Ali discusses the current Pashtun uprising in Pakistan with journalist Mahvish Ahmad and Pashtun rights activist Zakir Hussain.
For more details, I have also piqed about the Pashtun struggle in Pakistan here.
