Born in the south of Mexico, she was raised in rebel Zapatista autonomous municipalities to later settle down in San Cristobal de las Casas where she cofounded ''La Casa de las Flores'', a non-profit dedicated to educate, feed and care for the marginalized children living on extreme poverty in the streets of her city. After graduating from Nursing school she enrolled in Biotechnology and Astrophysics.
A Musical Time Machine
Music is a big part of life for many of us, as it has the power to change our mood, our thoughts and our way of seeing the world as a consequence. Does music have the power of modifying societies the same way it transforms individuals? How big is the impact that music has had on people over time? Does music shape us or do we shape it?
All of these questions will remain unanswered, or at least they will not be solved today, but what I do want to share with you here is an interactive map which allows you to pick a country, select a decade in the twentieth century and enjoy a curated playlist of crowdsourced songs from that time and place. Enjoy getting lost in history in the sweetest of ways.
