Small Communities Around The World Fighting Climate Change

Tired of bad news? Here goes a story full of hope and examples of small communities around the world doing their best to fight climate change.

In this article you will read about a small town in the US that rebuilt itself to run on 100% renewables after a devastating tornado in 2017. You will also learn how to convert wastewater from tofu into clean-burning biogas. After that, the author will take you to an Egyptian desert to visit a cluster of sandstone buildings with solar panels built into their rooftops. Finally, you will end your journey in the South Atlantic Ocean on the island of Tristan da Cunha, where the local community is working hard on various sustainability projects, including a wind farm, a waste-to-energy incinerator, and communal kitchen gardens.

Away from pointless conflicts and bad news, there is a wide world of communities working together on meaningful solutions. These kinds of stories are definitely my favorite.
