Tech Business Within The Washington Post

I run a journalistic initiative, so I am always curious to read about how other media outlets are using technology to provide quality coverage, but making it work financially, too.

Key take aways from this article include:

- "continued investment in its journalists, both in print and digital"

- "newspaper covers Washington better than any local paper covers its community"

- "critical of a growing trend of publishers ‘pivoting’ to new content forms and walking away from their legacy business"

There is, of course, more to be read in the article, but those three points contradict most of the strategies publishers have taken over the last years to keep their operations sustainable. I find it interesting and hopeful to see that focusing on quality and placing tech in the center, yet supporting journalism, is the key to having good media.
