Saudi Arabia Deports 40,000 Pakistani Migrant Workers

Almost 40,000 Pakistani migrant workers have been deported by Saudi Arabian authorities over the last four months. According to authorities, the reasons are "visa violations" and "security concerns".

Between 2012 and 2015, at least 243,000 Pakistani workers were deported by Saudi authorities. Like other migrant workers in the kingdom, Pakistanis live under harsh conditions. They are considered second-class people and face massive exploitation.

Brutal beatings and imprisonments are part of their daily life in Saudi Arabia. About 900,000 people of Pakistani nationality are currently employed in Saudi Arabia's vast construction industry and other low-paid service jobs.

Now, for some reason, tens of thousands of them are considered as a "terror threat". It seems that it's just popular justification to get rid of all these people after they have been exploited.
