Born in the south of Mexico, she was raised in rebel Zapatista autonomous municipalities to later settle down in San Cristobal de las Casas where she cofounded ''La Casa de las Flores'', a non-profit dedicated to educate, feed and care for the marginalized children living on extreme poverty in the streets of her city. After graduating from Nursing school she enrolled in Biotechnology and Astrophysics.

Randolph Linsly Simpson is a white man whose family has always had a strong antislavery tradition. From a young age he became deeply troubled by the realization that photographs and objects related to black history were rapidly disappearing. So, what did he do?
For over 25 years he has been searching, collecting, and rescuing items relating to the Afro American Experience. So far he has over 6,000 items.
Tragically, many of the owners of these faces and belongings are unknown, leaving us with nothing but bare guesses of who they were, their struggles, their fears, their accomplishments, their contributions and their endurance to achieve them.
