How Muslims Made A Successful Fundraising Campaign For A Vandalised Jewish Cemetery

Anti-Semitic violence is growing in the US these days. Since January, at least 54 Jewish community centres across 27 states have faced threats.

Recently, a historic Jewish cemetery in St. Louis was vandalised.

More than 100 headstones were toppled or damaged in the attack. The culprits are still unknown.

However, those who started to rebuild the cemetery are well-known.

Shortly after the attack, two Muslim-Americans started a fundraising campaign with huge success. Within two hours, the campaign surpassed its goal of $20,000.

"Through this campaign, we hope to send a united message from the Jewish and Muslim communities that there is no place for this type of hate, desecration and violence in America," the campaign's organisers say.
