It's customer choice—not political leadership—that drives clean energy forward

Revolutions—ones that bring an actual, constructive change—never happen over night. They take years, decades even. Due to their lengthy timespan, their narratives are often prone to rust or hijacking.

It’s important that we talk about all the actors that contribute to the current energy transition, else in few years we’ll learn about this one person, organisation or entity that from one day to another, magically flipped the switch.

I like this article because it highlights how citizens’ (not governments’) efforts and choices are changing the current energy market. How new technologies and solutions are proving that energy customers “are not just faceless blocks of consumers solely seeking reliability and affordable electricity; rather, electric customers are increasingly focused on how their energy is produced—including the impact that choice will have on the environment”.

Worth a read.
